Revenue Recognition Accountant

We are currently seeking a Revenue Recognition Accountant where you will play a critical role in the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Review revenue contracts and identify key terms and conditions
• Billing Management using your experience in Construction or Renewable Energy industries
• Analyze revenue arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Cash Management: Forecast collections and timing based on billings.
• Prepare revenue journal entries and reconciliations
• Conduct B2B Collections Calls.
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standards
• Assist in the development and implementation of revenue recognition policies and procedures
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue recognition
• Provide guidance and training to team members on revenue recognition matters

Requirements

• Construction or Renewable Energy industry experience is a MUST
• Project Billing
• B2B Collections
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue recognition or related accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and other relevant revenue recognition standards
• Experience with revenue recognition software and tools.

A Plus if you have Acumatica or Construction project software experience
