General Area of Responsibility

  • The Finance Leader for the Brazil Gain / TOM Project collaborates with various stakeholders (Svitzer Brazil and its outsource partners, GSC, Gain Project team and others) to ensure smooth implementation of the Gain and TOM projects in Brazil, within timeline and agreed scope.

  • During the implementation phase of the projects in Brazil (Gain and TOM) ensures that (a) Process Documentation is complete, updated and approved by the Global BPO, (b) understands and maps of critical processes / stakeholders in Brazil to ensure a smooth transition of activities to the GSC, with a clearly agreed RACI, (c) closely follow the transfer of opening balances for Brazil, coordinating with ATR GSC and Gain implementation teams, ensuring that these are executed as expected

  • After “go-live”, located at the GSC in India, serve as point of contact for the stabilization of the solutions closely coordinating with the Americas Regional BPO

Specific Areas of Responsibility:

Your main tasks will be:

1. Process Documentation (including SOPs / RACI / Process Maps)

- Update documentation with the variants identified during the project implementation, ideally before UAT and go-live

- After go-live, ensure that documentation is fully up-to-date, approved by the Global BPO and filed

2. Preparation for TOM

- Create maps of critical local processes to understand how they run in Brazil and identify potential significant Gaps, aligning conclusions with local / GSC teams and ensuring that agreements are duly reflected in the Process Documentation

3. Stabilization of Gain / TOM

- Serve as the focal GSC point of contact for the local organization ensuring smooth communication between the parties, supported by the Regional BPO

4. Migration of Opening Balances

- Be involved in the planning of migration of opening balances coordinating with the ATR GSC and Gain Implementation teams, ensuring that the plan to have opening balances migrated as intended is solid and counts with required sign-offs

For the avoidance of doubt, this person will not be responsible for the validation or facilitation of the Master Data migration, considering that this task will require significant dedication which is allocated to the local Brazil organization. System SOPs (including localization) remain under the responsibility of the Gain Project team.

5. Secondary Accountabilities

- Ad-hoc requests as required to ensure smooth and timely implementation of both projects

Required/Preferred Education

  • Minimum Bachelor`s Degree in accounting/finance or similar discipline

Training and competencies

  • Experience preparing process documentation (SOPs, Process Maps, RACI)

  • Possesses a broad understanding of the activities and challenges across the Svitzer business processes, with knowledge of upstream and downstream activities

  • Has a hands-on experience with the Svitzer daily operations ad where areas of responsibility directly intersect or cross with most of the processes and functions

  • Understanding and experience working with Shared Service Center operations

  • Willingness to take an active informal leadership role

  • Excellent understanding of the target To-Be solution and support of the overall goal of the projects

  • Good communication skills and change agent of the To-Be solution or product

  • Fluency in English and persistence to find alternatives to communicate in different languages (Portuguese and / or Spanish is a plus)
