Secondary Systems Engineer

What will a day in this role look like:

As a Secondary Systems Engineer you will be engaged, and excited by project delivery and the successful integration of varied specialist and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.

As part of our growing ANZ and global Energy business, AECOM has an opportunity for a Professional level Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team and provide Secondary Systems expertise.

Joining our Transmission and Distribution Practice means joining a vibrant, dedicated group of professionals who provide advice and expertise to our high-profile clients across Australia, New Zealand and Australia.

Your role will include technical support and delivering quality project outcomes on time and budget delivery. You will be given the unique opportunity to work with one of our key clients who are about to embark on an ambitious major transmission works program of a scale not seen in the Australian electricity sector in many decades.

Requirements

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.

What are we looking for from you?

• 2-6 years experience in the Transmission Secondary and SCADA environment
• Design of HV transmission substations protection systems including Low Voltage Control and protection design
• Comprehensive understanding of QLD power distribution system
• Experience in design of SCADA systems and development of functional specifications
• Experience in sourcing, selection and integration of control systems hardware and associated cabling into substation design
• Design Management Experience
• University degree in Electrical Engineering and CPEng, RPEQ – or working towards
