POSITION SUMMARY
This role is required to be in office 5 days a week.
The Associate QA Engineer position will be responsible for providing technical, quality, and customer centric leadership to the software development process. From whiteboard to keyboard, this position will play a key role in building quality software through team collaboration, test planning, code review, and writing automated and manual tests, all while working in a fun, collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic, outside-the-box workplace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advocate for quality, automation, security, long-term efficiency, and an outstanding customer experience;
- Plan, build, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests;
- Evaluate and collaborate on software designs;
- Coordinate and collaborate with Developers, Product Management, Support, and other QA Engineers;
- Use data and Domo to continuously improve processes and outcomes;
- Review feature and automated test code;
- Contribute to and improve upon automation frameworks;
- Evaluate and integrate open source/commercial test automation libraries, tools, and frameworks;
- Think critically and solve problems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of hands-on Test & Q/A Automation engineering experience in enterprise software environment required;
- Significant experience with at least one programming language is required. Java, Python, and JavaScript preferred;
- Experience working with data in relational and/or NoSQL databases strongly preferred;
- Experience with continuous integration testing, tools, and frameworks preferred;
- Strong familiarity with standard concepts and technologies used in web-based applications and testing web-based applications is required;
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required;
- Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile product development environment;
- Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive production schedules and deadlines;
- Experience implementing new technologies/methods;
- Experience with these testing tools is preferable: Selenium, JUnit, JMeter, Hudson, Jenkins, TeamCity.
