EMPLOYER IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP.

Role Description:

As a Product Manager for Software Factory, you will play a pivotal role in defining and launching our innovative Software Factory platform designed for military personnel and defense contractors. You will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and implementation, ensuring alignment with both customer needs and company objectives. This role requires a unique blend of collaboration across business segments, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of secure development environments and Department of Defense security requirements. You will be responsible for facilitating a cross-functional team of engineering, design, and marketing experts to deliver a platform that enhances development efficiency, operational security, and innovation in mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy for Software Factory, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams for implementation of a cohesive architecture and integration of development tools within the Software Factory
  • Work closely with a Product Designer to architect and design an intuitive platform that meets the unique needs of military personnel and contractors
  • Prioritize and manage the product roadmap, balancing customer, business, and technical priorities while synthesizing external customer requests into actionable features and backlogs
  • Measure and assess the impact of product solutions through key performance indicators (KPIs), including adoption rates, user engagement metrics, and development efficiency improvements
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to secure development environments and Department of Defense software development requirements, ensuring our platform meets evolving needs and compliance standards
  • Present product updates and strategic insights in customer-facing engagements, ensuring clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, remote working environment, demonstrating high levels of discipline, self-motivation, and adaptability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enough technical breadth to work with engineering and design to trade off roadmap versus engineering effort needed

The listed responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is able to adapt and take on new responsibilities as they arise.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience establishing a product roadmap with themes, a team charter, measurable outcomes in the form of OKRs/KPIs to track success, design docs
  • 5+ years of leading products from idea to market and operations, focusing on secure development environments or internal developer platforms
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and thrive in a remote work setup

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in developer platform development, such as supply chain security, open source development, and internal developer platforms.
  • Empathy for the National Security mission and challenges they face in delivering software and data solutions

Join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in shaping the future of our platform offering for the national security sector. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to drive positive change and thrive in a challenging, collaborative environment, we invite you to apply and join our team.
