SSIS Data Migration Engineer

LMW is seeking a SSIS Data Migration Engineer on behalf of a leading multinational IT company (banking sector).

You will be part of a dynamic team of professionals ranging from Project managers and Software architects to software developers and testers and you will be using cutting edge technologies and methodologies to efficiently and effectively deliver the software.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain SSIS packages to facilitate seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support efficient data migration and integration, ensuring optimal database performance.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of MS SQL Server databases, ensuring data integrity and smooth operation during migrations.
• Utilize C# scripting within SSIS to extend functionality and implement custom data transformations as needed.
• Manage and monitor ETL processes, ensuring accurate and efficient data transfer across systems while resolving any issues promptly.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages across various environments, ensuring they function correctly in production.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of SSIS packages, SQL queries, and overall migration processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 2-3 years of experience in data migration projects.
• 2-3 years of experience in the Banking Industry.
• Understanding of data modeling & data integration concepts.
• Good T-SQL/SQL knowledge and working experience are mandatory.
• Working experience in MS SQL Server.
• Ability to design complex SQL queries in MSSQL.
• Working experience in design and development of SSIS packages.
• Experience with C# in the context of SSIS.
• General understanding/experience in SSIS deployment process.
• ETL experience.
• Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies is considered a plus.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills both in Greek and English language.
• Strong leadership skills, collaborative spirit, sense of ownership, and accountability.
• Completion of military obligations if applicable.
