New Product Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

• Pull in development orders from PDE by clarifying product specifications and customer requirements
• Handover designs to manufacturers by considering their capabilities to in line with the Swarovski standards
• Establish WI and provide documents for mass production needs to ensure product readiness
• Support Manufacturing Development Department and Production Engineer Department for new jewelry techniques and new plating techniques for sample making
• Define processes and run pilot tests

MAIN DUTIES

• Develop jewelry production process from product development to mass production and production process stabilization
• Define and establish production readiness to drive luxury quality
• Evaluate production risk assessment and provide the most effective solutions to achieve quality, cost and service
• Cross-collaborate internally and externally to manage the deliverables as customers required
• Innovate process techniques and enhance manufacturing capabilities
• Drive timeliness of product launches by focusing on complete production value chain
• Apply Goldsmith knowledge for risk assessment of master models, products and processes and provide solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in Goldsmith, Jewelry, Material, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing especially Model making or Goldsmith in jewelry production or related positions
• Analytic-thinking and decision-making skills based on facts and statistics
• Translating product specifications to production processes
• Understanding and providing constructive feedback in rapid manufacturing environment
• Result-orientation and strong communication skills
• Excellent English proficiency
• Good team player and collaborative mindset with initiatives
• Systematic way of work and ability to work under pressure
• Good project management skills
