Technical Lead C++ Automation Engineer

For our partner - a leader in the audio entertainment industry with 150+ million users, we are looking for a Technical Lead C++ Automation Engineer.

We have an established team at AscentCore working on next-gen features for the infotainment sector of our partner’s business, connecting users to numerous features that make driving a more pleasurable experience through the awesome content shared by the company: music, news and podcast streaming, among others.

You will be part of a new team that develops automation testing frameworks, thus enhancing the high-tech components of our partner’s suite of products for in-vehicle entertainment.

The development of the automation frameworks is carried out in C++ 11.

This role is open in locations where we'd like to expand our local communities: Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca

Responsibilities:

• Be the expert and technical leader in a team of 6+ colleagues and coordinate the C++ Automation efforts, in collaboration with our partner’s stakeholders;
• Act as the main point of contact for technical drive, helping colleagues gain more exposure and space for decision making;
• Work alongside our partner’s team and stakeholders and have a good understanding of the product features and complete set of requirements;
• Work closely with other development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed, gaining solid knowledge on the products’ architecture;
• Champion for coding best practices and scalable approach;

Requirements:

• Previous experience with leading technical excellence together with a team, by providing technical direction and clarifying requirements;
• Strong experience in C++ programming, preferably in a test automation environment;
• Experience with Python scripting for automation tasks and test development is a plus;
• Experience with software automation testing, preferably Google Test Framework;
• Strong experience with CI/CD, preferably Jenkins;
• Strong understanding of automated testing implementation and strategies;
• Familiarity with in-vehicle infotainment systems is greatly appreciated;
• Familiarity with TDD and BDD is greatly appreciated;
• Familiarity with Android Automotive is a plus
• Very good English and presentation skills.
