We are seeking a seasoned professional with a background in management consulting and expertise in pricing strategy to join our fintech company as the director of strategic pricing. This leadership role will be responsible for shaping and executing our pricing strategy to drive revenue growth, enhance profitability, and maintain our competitive position in the dynamic fintech industry.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, strategic vision, and a proven track record of delivering impactful pricing solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of our company's pricing strategy, encompassing our suite of fintech products and services.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer segmentation to identify pricing opportunities and trends in the fintech landscape.
  • Deliver on pricing Annual Operating plan through surfacing insights to improve margins and revenue.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, product management, and sales teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives, revenue targets, and product roadmap priorities.
  • Design and execute pricing experiments, A/B tests, and pilot programs to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on customer behavior, acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Develop pricing models, frameworks, and tools to support data-driven decision-making and enable real-time pricing adjustments based on market dynamics and customer insights.
  • Lead cross-functional pricing initiatives, working closely with finance, operations, marketing, and legal teams to ensure alignment and execution of pricing strategies.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on pricing best practices, methodologies, and tools, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics related to pricing and provide regular updates and insights to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies in the fintech space, and proactively adjust pricing strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Lead a team of pricing analysts and consultants to conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify pricing opportunities and threats.
  • Design and implement pricing frameworks, methodologies, and tools to support data-driven decision-making and enable continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of management consulting experience in strategic pricing, revenue management, or related roles.

  • Experience with delivering "1% pricing" to grow and maintain revenue and margins on existing portfolio.

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability through strategic pricing initiatives, preferably in a leadership capacity.

  • Experience working in a management consulting firm or equivalent advisory role, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex pricing projects and deliver impactful results for the business.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire cross-functional teams and senior executives.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative pricing strategies that differentiate our offerings and create value for customers.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
