In the role of Lead Development Engineer for Registry Informatics, you’ll be working closely with a team of development engineers, leading the technical design and development of Elekta’s latest cancer registry web-based solutions. You’ll be providing guidance and mentorship to your team members, ensuring the software developed is of high quality, simple, elegant, and user-friendly.

Responsibilities –

  • Leads, cultivates, and disseminates knowledge of best practices, team culture, and support to team members to accomplish common goals.
  • Execute on the technical roadmap and vision for registry informatics in alignment with the business strategy and goals.
  • Solve complex and challenging problems with creativity and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and optimal outcomes.
  • Balance short term and long term needs of the development team while managing changing requirements and opportunities.
  • Participate in collaboration efforts with stakeholders to help define system requirements, software design, and sizing on program level.
  • Actively provides coaching, guidance, or direction to team members.
  • Apply expertise to develop innovative ideas/practices by taking responsibility and acting autonomously when necessary.
  • Ability to learn and share new technology to improve the development, deliverable, and maintenance of our solutions.
  • Assist management with the technical evaluation of issues, including alternatives, risk assessments, and recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively and productively in a team-oriented agile environment, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications –

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Development. Design, develop, and maintain features for the cancer registry web application using responsive design and RESTful APIs.
  • Cloud Technology. Experience with cloud-based technology and platforms.
  • Programming. Proficiency in SQL, C#, and Python.
  • Communication & Collaboration. Ability to communicate complex information effectively and collaborate to achieve business objectives.
  • Leadership. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability. Ability to adjust to changes quickly and positively.
  • Feedback & Guidance. Provide constructive feedback and foster a culture of learning and improvement.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation. Solve complex problems using information from various sources and come up with innovative solutions.
  • Customer-Focus & Creativity. Collaborate across functional boundaries for the best customer outcome and anticipate problems before they arise.
  • Software and infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior software engineering role or technical leadership position.
  • BS degree in Computer Science; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in the medical software or medical devices industry preferred.
  • Demonstrable understanding of business intelligence, analytics, content management, data management, real-world data, and real-world evidence.
  • Knowledge of health interoperability standards preferred.

The US base salary range for this position is $165,000-175,000.
