This novel technology and world class engineering has enabled the 21C to set production lap records at both Laguna Seca and Circuit of the Americas. Purpose

The Czinger 21C is a groundbreaking 3D printed hybrid hypercar with a combined powertrain output of over 1250BHP. The Powertrain Design team are responsible for realizing the physical design of powertrain systems and components and their integration into the vehicle. With the power of the AI based Divergent Adaptive Production System available to you, this is a unique opportunity to push the frontiers of powertrain design. We are now seeking a talented and experienced individual to lead the Powertrain Design team as we embark on the development of the next generation Czinger vehicles.

The Role

Collaborate with the Powertrain leadership team and Powertrain System owners to deliver design solutions for powertrain systems and components, including ICE, Transmissions, E-Drive and Thermal systems.

Lead the integration and packaging of systems and components into Czinger vehicles, fulfilling attribute targets and design guidelines.

Drive innovation and optimization in powertrain design by deploying cutting edge design and analysis methodology. Responsible for determining and implementing CAE tools and methods and training team members.

Leverage the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) to enhance performance and efficiency.

Lead and manage the Powertrain Design team. Manage task planning and coordinate workload allocation. Strategically plan the capabilities and capacity needed within the team to deliver current and future projects. Recruit, train and mentor team members and carry out performance reviews.

Establish work practices, processes, tools and methodologies for the efficient and robust execution of design work from concept to production release.

Ensure design workflow is executed in accordance with the Czinger Design process and contribute to the development of Czinger design processes and practices.

Support the on-going growth of Czinger vehicles and the Powertrain team through strategic development initiatives with the Powertrain leadership team.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

5+ years proven experience leading a powertrain design team, preferably in the automotive or motorsports industry.

10+ years experience in either high-performance automotive or motorsport environments.

Expert knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmissions, or hybrid systems.

Proficiency in CAD (preferably NX/Teamcenter) and CAE analysis software.

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Able to work autonomously and as part of a team. Can collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners.

Hands-on and proactive approach to problem solving.

Has a solution orientated approach and takes ownership of given responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Delivery of a complete, major powertrain design project, i.e. high-performance combustion engine or transmission.

Experience with design for Additive Manufacturing.

$186,500 - $207,200 a year
