WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

At SimCorp, we support some of the biggest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting, and operations. As our new Lead Software Testing Engineer, you will join one of the Scrum Teams in Standard Platform Product Area. You will be responsible for building and refining frameworks for Configuration Management and Test Automation. You will work with Product Owners, System Architects, a community of subject matter experts and other Engineers, with the goal of reducing the implementation time of the Standard Platform and defining the future way of configuration management for SaaS.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

You will be working in an agile team of about 5-7 people. In your daily work you will – together with your team - understand and challenge customer requirements, discuss solutions, implement automated tests for the chosen solution, and support it. We use a variety of tools, but they are all centered around .NET, Angular, and Microsoft Azure. The present and near future main topics are good maintainability and observability, high system performance and scalability, continuous integration, and deployment, and reshaping our product for the cloud. This last point especially means experimenting with and learning modern technologies and modern ways of testing. In addition to implementing customer features, it is essential for us to continuously improve on all levels: company, division, product area, team, and individual. Your daily work life will thus also include topics such as “how can we reduce our build and deployment time”, “how can we rearchitect this component to perform significantly faster”, and “how can we work together in a more fun and effective way”. English is the corporate language and is used in all communication.

• Leading a team of testers and be responsible for the quality of their work

• Creating test plans and strategies

• Identifying and documenting defects

• Developing a configuration management framework

• Building automated tests and underlying frameworks

• Integration into CI/CD pipelines

• Tracking Quality Assurance metrics (e.g. defect density, open defect count)

• Contributing to the design of future SaaS frameworks

• Being part of reviewing code and formulating test scenarios

• Working with product management to define new features

• Working as part of your agile team to reach the definition of done each sprint

• Constantly learning and developing yourself, the team and our product

WHAT WE VALUE

Your qualifications:

• Significant experience in a similar position

• Good analysis and testing skills, deep understanding of software testing theory

• Significant programming skills - a good insight into object-oriented software design and programming

• Flexibility in using different programming languages and tools to achieve your goals

• Experience in C#, PowerShell, Selenium, Azure and automation in general

• Experience with Microsoft stack overall

• Interest and ability to work with complex architecture

• Knowledge of Agile principles and experience in being part of an Agile team

• Good collaboration and communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Experience working in an international setting with people from different countries and cultures

• Positive and constructive approach: you bring a smile and positive vibes

• You care about your team and care about having an enjoyable working environment

• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)
