Internship Opportunity

VisionFund International (VF) is the microfinance arm of World Vision, dedicated to providing credit, insurance, and savings services to underserved communities worldwide. Join the People and Culture (P&C) Department at VisionFund International as an intern and contribute to our mission. You'll support our efforts to be a strategic partner in managing and developing our staff, assisting in equipping leaders with essential skills to foster talent within their teams and achieve our development goals.

The P&C department collaborates closely with four Centers of Expertise—Leadership Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and Faith & Development—and a global team of Regional Business Partners. This internship offers hands-on experience in implementing strategies that drive organizational success and impact on a global scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Management and Leadership Training: Assist in developing the Management and Leadership training program.

  • Global Program Monitoring: Collaborate with Business Partners and Regional Directors to monitor the implementation of various training programs across different regions worldwide.

  • Learning Platform Support: Support the rollout of learning content on platforms such as Workday Learning and our E-Campus.

  • Trend Analysis and Reporting: Monitor, report, and analyze trends, gaps, and best practices in implementing training programs within our network of institutions.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Interest in Global Operations: Passionate about global operations and their complexities. Communication Skills: Experienced in written and oral communication, adept at conveying complex information to diverse audiences from various cultural backgrounds.

  • Data Management: Proficient in working with databases and skilled in data mining techniques.

  • Customer Service Orientation: Eager to provide exceptional service to customers.

  • Time Management: Effective in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and communicating progress to ensure timely completion of projects.

  • Responsibility and Enthusiasm: You are responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic about using your God-given talents to positively impact the world.

  • Commitment to our Mission: You have a demonstrated commitment to and alignment with the goals, mission, and vision of World Vision, embodying its values in all aspects of your work.

Preferred

  • Fluency in Spanish or French

  • Good command or understanding of reporting tools such as Power BI.

  • Location: Remote within the US**.** You must be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

  • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Education, Training, Human Resources, or related fields.

  • Internship Cohort Dates:27 January – 25 April.

  • Stipend: this internship is unpaid, but all US-based interns receive a monthly stipend of $800.

  • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (20-40 hours/week)

Eligibility

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Citizen/resident or F1-student visa) and have a valid US Social Security Number.

  • Able to commit to at least 20 hours per week for the entire internship period: 27 January – 25 April.

  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate programme (within 2 years).

  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.

  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software in those devices.
