We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Norgine

The person holding this position will report to our Maintenance Team Leader and be a member of the onsite maintenance team.

Shift Pattern: 4 on/4 off. Variable shifts - days/nights

This is a 12 month Fixed term contract opportunity.

Main Purpose:

The Shift Engineer’s primary purpose is to carry out day to day maintenance activities on all manufacturing and packaging equipment, as directed by the Maintenance Team Leader and in accordance with business needs.

Requirements

Description and Minimum Requirements:

To be part of an Engineering Team that carries out planned maintenance (PPMs) and daily checks, whilst also reacting to breakdowns and plant issues.

- Hold an Engineering Qualification in either Electrical, Mechanical or both.

- Previous experience working in a Factory, with a fast-paced processing environment.

- Understanding and knowledge of a highly regulated GMP environment.

General Description:

- An Engineer who has the ability to carry out a PPM in its entirety, and be able to locate issues and rectify them to ensure the Machines run continuously.

- Ability to carry out Daily Checks and ensure that all Site Utilities are operating correctly.

- An Engineer who can quickly react and respond to a Machine Breakdown, find the issue and be able to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.

- Ability to carry out projects and jobs, and complete them to a certain timescale provided by the Manager/Supervisor.

- The ability to work fully within the regulations of GMP, whilst completing jobs to a high standard.

- Able to show basic Electrical skills and knowledge when working within Electrical Panels around the Factory. Showing a good level of understanding and safety when carrying out Electrical jobs.

- An Engineer who can show a level of competency when completing Mechanical jobs around the Plant, and a level of understanding on what Materials and Equipment to use when completing certain jobs.

- Able to fill out full Shift Reports, and be Computer literate when using emails and general computer programs.
