Reservation Sales Specialist

Extenteam is looking for a Remote Reservation Sales Specialist to join our growing organization and undertake the following tasks:

Position Overview:

The focus of this role is building relationships with potential guests to drive direct bookings. This includes helping the potential guest with finding the best home to fit their experience. Once the guest has made their reservation, they will have additional questions and sometimes concerns that you will be responsible for. The goal is to ensure they have a seamless experience during their stay. This can look like correspondence with additional departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and owner services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Build relationships with the potential guest to create bookings.

2. Having a sense of urgency with all communication correspondence through phone, email, and text messaging

3. Working with the supervisor on driving revenue sales via listening to call recordings, reviewing department KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and outbound calling initiatives.

4. Knowledge of vacation rental areas.

5. Ability to ebb and flow with seasonal demands.

6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

7. Ability to adapt to software changes and implementations.

8. Ability and availability to be on call and work after hours and weekends as scheduled/needed.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong independent work capabilities, demonstrating the ability to work remotely and self-direct effectively. We are seeking individuals who thrive in an autonomous work environment and can take initiative with minimal supervision. The candidate should be adept at managing their time efficiently, setting priorities, and delivering high-quality results independently. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can demonstrate a track record of successful projects undertaken with little guidance.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effectively collaborating with team members and stakeholders in a virtual work setting.

Foundational Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal English skills for phone, text, and email communication.
• Previous experience in guest services, reservations, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to show empathy, exhibit patience, and have a customer-centric mindset
• Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently.
• Willingness to ask questions when unclear about a task or process.

Nice to Haves:

• Vacation rental industry experience, working with VRBO, AirBnB, etc.
• PMS experience in the rental and hotel industry.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Internet speed minimum 30mbps
- i5 8th Gen or higher
- Windows 10 / MacOS Catalina or higher
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM
- Private and quiet dedicated home office area (no roosters, dogs, children's noises in the background)
- Back-ups in case of power or internet provider interruptions
- Good headset and webcam (preferably noise-canceling headset)
