We have a temporary role for a Global Payroll Transformation Business Analyst on a full-time fixed term contract until end 2025.

As the Global Payroll Transformation Business Analyst, you will be crucial in supporting the global payroll operations team during a transformation period. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the predefined project deliverables for the payroll transformation. In this role, you will collaborate with and support the payroll team, ensuring accuracy, consistency, standardization, and compliance with SOX controls to achieve audit readiness with the new optimized solution, for which you will be directly accountable in configuring and implementing. Additionally, you will ensure the global payroll team meets required metrics and internal reporting needs while working with payroll vendors and internal teams to efficiently design and build a future state model that operates with improved and automated processes.

  • Support payroll system transformations, including vendor selection, project planning, and integration with HRIS, Time & Attendance, and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to gather payroll requirements and ensure smooth system implementation.
  • Manage payroll vendor relationships, ensuring service levels are met, handling escalations, and overseeing vendor performance management against SLA/KPI metrics.
  • Lead global payroll projects, including global mobility, shares, and benefits improvements, while updating payroll processes and country documentation.
  • Identify and eliminate manual, non-essential processes through technology to streamline and optimize payroll operations.
  • Ensure internal system access is aligned with data security principles and manage system access accordingly.
  • Resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide training to payroll teams on new workflows and process changes.
  • Support Business Continuity Plan (BCP) updates, case management enhancements, and global employee communications.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of payroll controls post-implementation, ensuring issues are analysed, corrected, and documented.
  • Execute change management with stakeholders and support ongoing performance tracking and dashboard metric delivery.

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven project management skills, especially in global/regional payroll projects, with the ability to prioritize complex workloads and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • HRIS and Payroll Systems: Strong familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and their integration with payroll systems, along with experience in payroll and related systems in a multinational, Shared Services environment.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Advanced analytical skills, including root cause analysis and problem-solving, to address complex payroll transformation challenges.
  • Business Process Improvement: Expertise in business process improvement, capable of producing high-quality outputs and defining long-term benefits, including calculating ROI for implemented changes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, both independently and remotely.
  • Consulting Mindset: Consulting-type skillset with strong influencing, presentation, collaboration, and learning agility, along with the ability to think outside the box to design efficient processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in advanced Excel and the MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) with strong documentation skills to bridge the gap between business and technology teams.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration) with experience in managing/coordinating teams remotely and working in a multinational environment.

Preferred experience: If you possess the following in addition to the above, it would be a plus:

  • Payroll experience in multiple countries globally is highly beneficial
  • Payroll function transformation project experience
