Senior UX Designer

The Restore products division at Verisk Property Estimating Solutions is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our team as we develop cutting-edge software for the home restoration and remodeling industry. Our suite of products—including ContentsTrack, Restoration Manager, Pruvan, PPW, and XactRemodel—enables contractors to streamline workflows, enhance cost estimation accuracy, and improve project efficiency.

As a Senior UX Designer, you'll play a key role in shaping intuitive and impactful user experiences that empower contractor professionals to succeed.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

• Collaborate with customers, product teams, management, R&D, and engineering to identify, scope, and execute end-to-end design solutions.
• Lead high-impact design initiatives, contributing to the strategic direction of the product.
• Champion modern UX practices, ensuring design and engineering best practices lead to high-performing, delightful user experiences.
• Uncover opportunities to create memorable experiences across Property Estimating Solutions and Restore Products that differentiate us in the market.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges, presenting your vision and creating excitement among senior leadership.
• Continuously identify opportunities for UX improvements across Verisk Restore Products.
• Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
• Complete all responsibilities as outlined and projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

About You and How You Can Excel in this Role

• 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing applications, websites, and mobile experiences
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in ideation, sketching, wireframing, user flows, and information architecture
• Experience planning and conducting customer research, either independently or in partnership with UX Researchers
• Mastery of interactive design tools such as Figma, Maze, Lucid, and familiarity with Design Thinking and Jobs-to-be-done (JTBD) methodologies
• Mastery of information architecture, information design, interaction design, and multi-step, cross platform flows
• Clear understanding of web, mobile, and desktop application development technologies, including their limitations
• Experience designing reusable UX components or systems
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead projects from concept to delivery as well as ongoing improvement
• Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Ability to use both quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions
• Strong empathy for users, with a knack for simplifying complex problems
• Self-starter with strong leadership and mentorship skills, inspiring your team by example
