**Job Summary:

Responsible for installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of computer network systems including local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN). Configure and install various network devices to include routers, switches, firewalls and appliances. Implement remediation of network infrastructure issues, coordinates service outages and schedule upgrades.

**Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks.
  • Provides support to technology operations IT-related projects
  • Proactively monitor and respond to and network alarms, escalates as appropriate for resolution.
  • Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
  • Manages service delivery, test, turn up, and activation of new network circuits.
  • Maintains network documentation for production and disaster recovery environments
  • Perform circuit analysis, troubleshooting and restoration of service.
  • Provides network performance reports to management
  • Maintains all network operation systems, and device configurations for recovery
  • Supports network equipment builds, Installations, and decommissioning of equipment as directed
  • Support datacenter equipment add, moves and changes, cabling installations and troubleshooting
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Responds to emails support request, documents all issues in ticketing system
  • Relies on some pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Provides technical assessment and guidance to users and support teams.
  • Works under immediate supervision
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS

  • Must be detail-oriented and organized in both thought and practice
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have professional demeanor and be able to effectively work with other technical teams and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle conflicting priorities, and deadlines

EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in a computer-related field, or related technical vocational education, or equivalent work experience.
  • CCNA Routing and Switching
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in an IT operations environment
  • 1-3 years’ experience supporting LAN/WAN networks, routers and switches
  • Familiarity with supporting IP Telephony and wireless access technologies
