Software Product Manager

Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition. 20% of US global warming emissions come from homes (that's more than cars!). The largest driver of home emissions is burning fossil fuels for heat. To accomplish the transition, over 80M US homes need to transition from combustion to efficient, electric heat pumps over the coming decades.

We believe for this to happen the world needs fantastic products that are easy and desirable to purchase. Today's heat pumps lack great design, make limited use of software, and are difficult and stressful to adopt. We are building a next generation, beautifully designed, AI optimized home heating and cooling system that is 10x better than what is on the market today. And we are making it easy to purchase and adopt by managing all sales, rebates, permitting and installation for our customers.

Role

Quilt is looking for a customer-obsessed, detail-driven, highly technical software product manager to join our small and mighty product team.

In this role, you will be the central hub unifying product and design vision with engineering execution and customer delivery across Quilt’s heat pump software, integrated consumer electronics, and user interfaces.

This job requires outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in addition to exceptional product sense. You will work closely with our Head of Product to chart the product roadmap for the months and years ahead. You will define, schedule, track, and drive execution across the company, including product, design, customer service, and the software team, as well as interfacing with multiple hardware engineering disciplines. You will define execution processes to drive towards our company-level OKRs, clearly and effectively communicate overall program status, and identify and resolve key bottlenecks and inter-dependencies inherent in the complexity of our systems.

Qualifications

• You must have 5+ years of product management or technical program management experience. We will not consider your application without this experience.
• You must possess an exceptional, demonstrable track record working closely with SWE teams to launch and iterate on software products at various stages of development and scale.
• You are adept at translating customer needs into product, infra and process improvements, and derive satisfaction from bringing others along on that process
• You excel at driving clarity from ambiguity
• You build strong relationships throughout any organization and know how to influence others to win-win solutions
• You are self motivated and hardworking with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Additionally, we’d be delighted if any or all of the following were true about you:

• You have already worked at the intersection of hardware and software in a prior role
• You have a technical background
• You have experience with products that leverage algorithms

This is a full-time, onsite position in our Redwood City office.

The expected salary range is $175,000 - $205,000 a year, depending on your experience. In addition to base salary, Quilt also offers meaningful equity and top-tier benefits.
