Principal Software Engineer

With pure::variants PTC offers a tool that can manage variability in software product lines across the entire tool and process chain – including all generatable artifacts. This tool is unique on the market. A core strength is its connectivity to a large amount of engineering tools from PTC as well as mostly from other vendors. Using pure::variants in combination with these tools lets our customers create better adaptable software-intensive systems and platforms, meaning added longevity and reuse of already proven solutions in new product (variants).

We consider ourselves process architects. We never lose sight of the bigger picture when it comes to the product line, but sometimes, tool in hand, this means rolling up our own sleeves – always with the aim of further optimizing product line development.

We’ve already attracted a growing number of national and international premium clients from the automotive, mechanical and plant engineering, aerospace and defense industries. But growth always depends on the size of the team as well – this is why we’re looking for people who want to join us in advancing our product and leveling up in the market.

Responsibilities

• Lead, own and continuously evolve the frontend architecture in alignment with backend services
• Follow state-of-the-art industry best practices and the evolution of the fullstack ecosystem
• Provide technology vision while aligning teams, stakeholders on current and future architecture
• Able to articulate decisions and trade-offs, efficiently present it to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Hands-on ability designing architectures and developing reusable components with focus on improving system performance, scalability and reliability
• Expert in agile way of working also providing inspirational mentorship to colleagues

Requirements

• Master’s in computer science or similar degree
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in similar role
• Experience developing full-stack applications by writing code that is readable, testable and maintainable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Able to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases across multiple frameworks and technologies
• Advanced level of understanding of engineering practices and patterns along the full technology stack
• Experience as advanced user or developer of engineering tools in domains pure::variants connects with such as ALM tools, requirements management, MBSE, PLM, Test Management
