Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to development firmware, design circuit boards, and debug products from concept to production.

Requirements: You have 12+ years of experience designing analog/digital circuit boards and developing firmware for lower power sensor systems.

Core responsibilities

• Utilize Altium and Concord Pro to design rapid-turn circuit boards.
• Develop firmware utilizing C for PIC microcontrollers, with possibilities for ARM-based and FPGA development.
• Conduct evaluations of peers' circuits and code, offering productive technical insights.
• Recognize technical challenges, suggest remedies, and oversee necessary actions to effectively address these issues.
• Formulate test plans for hardware assessment during prototype deployment, with potential involvement in transitioning prototypes to manufacturing.

Required

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 12+ years of experience designing analog / digital circuit design and firmware development for low power sensors
• Experience with C programming for microcontrollers
• Experience with Altium
• Experience with system design and architecture

Ideal candidate

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Testing experience with MIL-STD
• Experience working in a machine shop or electromechanical skills
• DFM experience
• Experience with ARM and PIC
• Experience with environmental sensors (in-situ sensing)
• Understanding of Physics
