Scope of Position:
Enterprise Data & Analytics is responsible for providing Districts and Customers with exceptional data analytics support for planning, root cause analysis and process improvement activities that accelerate Expeditors’ business. The Data Analyst position is a broad-spectrum analytics role responsible for leveraging all available data and has a wide range of responsibilities including the collection, cleansing, analysis, reporting, interpretation and presentation of data.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Plan, develop and deploy impactful data-driven solutions for our Districts and Customers;
· Adhere to a defined analytics development procedure and fully document solutions;
· Participate in project requirements gathering and solution design;
· Complete projects on-time and provide frequent progress updates to project stakeholders;
· Prepare, cleanse and augment data in preparation for analysis and usage;
· Develop meaningful and intuitive reports, summaries and dashboards;
· Provide support for data and reporting infrastructure;
· Leverage advanced analytics tools and techniques to extracts insights from data;
· Share solutions and collaborate with other analysts in the network;
· Manage projects, tasks, time and timelines within our standard project management tools;
· Support our District as a subject matter expert on our data, tools and environments;
· Ensure solutions are built to scale and use enterprise approved technologies.
Requirements
What is required from you?
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas and pivot tables);
· Experience in structured and unstructured data (SQL, No-SQL, JSON, XML)
· Experience various business intelligence platforms;
· Experience with schema & table design;
· Knowledge of data security policies
· Knowledge on how to monitor and maintain deployed solutions
· Ability to clearly communicate and present to small and large groups;
· Be a team player and have the ability to listen, comprehend and effectively communicate to obtain positive results;
· Good understanding of logistics operations is preferred, not mandatory;
· Ability to multi-task and execute projects on time;
· Excellent communication and customer service skills;
