M&A Business Development Manager

Multitude’s business units are consumer banking (Ferratum), business banking (CapitalBox) and wholesale banking (Multitude Bank). The role of an M&A Business Development Manager for the Indonesian market at Multitude is a strategic position with a clear mandate for growth and expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Expansion

The primary responsibility is to establish and expand Multitude's presence in the Indonesia. This includes identifying market opportunities, understanding the local regulatory environment, and adapting Multitude’s offerings to the local market needs.

Strategic Alliances

Forming strategic partnerships is essential. The BDM will identify potential partners, negotiate agreements, and manage ongoing alliances to ensure they are beneficial and in line with the company’s objectives.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

The BDM will be involved in the initial stages of M&A activities, including market research, due diligence, and the formulation of initial proposals for potential mergers or acquisitions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborating with various experts within Multitude, such as financial analysts, product managers, and legal advisors, to ensure that the expansion strategies are well-informed and executable.

Product and Process Innovation

By working with industry partners, the BDM will influence the development of product features and process improvements tailored to the Asian market, especially the Indonesia.

Local Team Building

As the company expands, the BDM will also be responsible for recruiting and managing a local team to support the various business functions in the Indonesia.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business development, particularly within the financial services sector

• Familiarity with the process of identifying and assessing M&A opportunities, as well as initiating strategic partnerships

• A deep understanding of the Indonesian financial market, regulations, and consumer behaviour

• Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business targets

• Excellent command of English and Bahasa languages, both verbal and written

• Willingness to travel and work flexibly according to the needs of the business

• Orientation to processes and technology

• Experience in FinTech, consumer platforms, digital environments, and/or financial services

• Entrepreneurial spirit with strong customer, product, and business-oriented thinking

• Understanding the most recent marketing approaches and metrics

• Managing competing priorities
