The Company is engaged in providing analog and mixed signal semiconductor solutions for the communications and cloud markets.
We are seeking a PhD Student for a mid-term Internship to support and actively contribute to the development of High-Speed Connectivity, Broadband Analog and Data-Transport products including functional blocks such as high-speed digital, high-speed ADC, PLL's, and IP products at Pavia (Italy) design center.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, willing to learn exciting new technologies, and be able to work effectively within a talented group of individuals. You will gain exposure to a variety of IC design engineering skills and tools during your internship.

The Internship would be for a duration of 3 years, it’s intended as industrial sponsorship of a PHD program, and will take place in our Pavia office.

What You Can Expect

As a PhD Intern student, you will be:

  • Joining a growing team responsible for the design development of high performance Serdes
  • Learning advanced design techniques, particularly focused on advanced CMOS technology nodes (16nm to 3nm)
  • Contribute to the development of enabling technologies for the next generation high speed data links
  • Develop building blocks of high data rate SerDes for optical links
  • Learning advanced elements of analog and high-speed layout IC layout
  • Working with team and collaborate effectively with people for effective outcomes

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • A master degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Must be a PhD student of Electronics, enrolled at an accredited Italian university doctoral program
  • Basic knowledge of CMOS process and fabrication.
  • Basic digital fundamentals: latches, flip-flops, and combinatorial logic.
  • Good understanding of circuit elements like Diode, Transistor, Capacitor, resistor.
  • Basic knowledge of IC layout editor tools is a valuable skill.
  • Strong written and verbal Communication skills.
  • Good English and Good Italian.
