Water & Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking to appoint a Water & Wastewater Engineer in our Rhodes or Leppington office. You will report directly into the Director - Water & Wastewater and have the backing of a team of over 260 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.

Specifically:

• Manage major water & wastewater projects, including project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Taking a leading role as a technical advisor for the team
• Collaboration with other teams and offices to ensure integrated design approach
• Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs
• Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes
• Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders
• Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans and specifications
• Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Proven experience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management
• Must have experience in water and wastewater network modelling
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Capable of contributing to business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects
• Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water & wastewater projects
