Group S&OP / Sales & Operations Planning Manager

PolyPeptide is on an exciting growth journey, and we are strengthening our Global Technical Operations Team with the addition of a Sales & Operations Planning Manager for the Group, reporting to our Director Global Operations and part of the Global Technical Operations management team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You are the functional owner of the demand and production planning processes in the group across all our sites (demand planning and forecasting, production planning and material planning).

You will manage the S&OP process on group level and enable its execution across all manufacturing and development sites in the network (Sweden, Belgium, France, US, India), including definition, implementation, monitoring and constant improvement for increased efficiency and planning accuracy. This includes the consistent mapping, controlling and optimization of capacity utilization across all sites.

You will support the product availability at a competitive operating cost, and in full compliance with applicable regulations. In addition, you will lead the site allocation, preparing and conducting the capacity allocation and according decision making process.

You will work closely with the sales managers across the group to ensure that demand and plans are aligned, and ensure that commitments on inventory of API/product are in line with agreements. You are the functional S&OP leader within the group, collaborating closely with the S&OP colleagues at all sites.

YOUR PROFILE:

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Science or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, and 5+ years in S&OP.
• Experience in contract manufacturing, in complex B-to-B manufacturing across multiple plants mandatory. Experience in pharmaceutical (including regulatory requirements and their impact on the supply chain), complex chemical or similar regulated environment a strong plus. Prior experience at a manufacturing plant a plus.
• Proven track record in managing and executing S&OP processes, demand and forecast management, production planning, material planning process, inventory management
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in KPI/data driven controlling and reporting, with the ability to provide meaningful analysis, summary and recommendation to management for decision making. Business and financial acumen and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain
• Familiar with the relevant IT and ERP systems and digitalization, automation trends, advanced business intelligence skills an advantage

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to functionally lead and influence others, collaborate cross-functionally and across different geographies for optimal outcomes for the group. Able to work in an international environment and deal with cultural differences, and to collaborate with colleagues spread on different sites. Able to travel according to the requirements of the global role.
• Fluent in English, French an advantage, Swedish/Danish a plus as the role is located at the Swedish site in Malmö
