This is a hybrid position. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of working remotely three days per week, while spending the remaining two days per week on-site at our beautiful office in Long Beach, CA.

About You

You have a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and the efficiency of healthcare systems. The idea of developing new technology solutions to support both the public behavioral health workforce and those who receive services in these systems makes you excited. You are driven by the opportunity to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, working towards developing innovative solutions that improve the quality of care, streamline processes, and enhance outcomes. You believe that technology should be co-developed with those who will ultimately use and benefit from it and enjoy engaging with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and translating them into actionable plans.

What You’ll Do:

  • Providing strategic direction for healthcare-focused programs, aligning them with the company's overall mission and objectives. Define program goals, objectives, and milestones, and develop strategies to achieve them effectively.
  • Developing and managing external relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors in the public and behavioral health sectors and related systems including serving as the point of contact for general communication, questions, requests, and coordination. Build and maintain relationships to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple programs within the company’s portfolio. Provide guidance and support to program managers and cross-functional teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Working with the Director of Behavioral Health Programs to manage program budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient use of resources and successful delivery of program outcomes. Identify resource gaps, risks, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Providing input into product vision and design based on subject matter expertise and knowledge of client and stakeholder needs.
  • Apply knowledge of public health and behavioral health concepts to inform program strategies and decision-making. Stay updated on healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices to ensure that technology solutions meet industry standards and address healthcare challenges effectively.
  • Lead change management efforts to facilitate the adoption and implementation of technology solutions within healthcare organizations and communities. In partnership with customer success, develop communication plans, training programs, and support resources to promote user acceptance and minimize resistance to change.

The Experience You’ll Need:

  • Experience (5 or more years) working in public behavioral health systems, including knowledge of regulatory requirements, policies, various programs, and workflows.
  • Experience (3 or more years) in program management, preferably in healthcare or technology-related industries.
  • The ability to work cross functionally with design, product, and technical implementation teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively synthesize and convey complex ideas, present project updates to clients and stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
  • The ability to identify and engage with key stakeholders, build relationships, and manage their expectations throughout the project lifecycle. This includes conducting stakeholder analysis, conducting meetings, and addressing concerns.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities, requirements, and constraints in a dynamic and fast-paced start-up environment.
  • An understanding and appreciation of the diverse needs and experiences of individuals receiving services in the public behavioral health system to guide the development of technology solutions that are culturally sensitive, accessible, and inclusive.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Experience managing program budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Proficiency in technology and software solutions relevant to the behavioral health industry, such as electronic health record (EHR) systems, telehealth platforms, data analytics tools, and mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), to ensure compliance when developing technology solutions for the public behavioral health sector.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us:
