Key Responsibilities:

As a Privacy & Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization adheres to the highest standards of data privacy and information governance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and Implementing Privacy Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive privacy policies and procedures that comply with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws.
  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments: Perform regular privacy impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks associated with new projects, processes, or systems.
  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with global data protection laws and regulations, providing guidance to various departments on privacy-related matters.
  • Data Governance Frameworks: Design, implement, and manage data governance frameworks that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets. Establish clear data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on privacy policies, data protection practices, and their role in maintaining data security and compliance.
  • Incident Response and Management: Lead the response to data breaches and privacy incidents, including investigation, notification, and remediation efforts. Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of incidents.
  • Vendor Management: Assess and manage privacy and data protection risks associated with third-party vendors and partners. Ensure contractual agreements include necessary data protection provisions.
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Continuously monitor privacy practices and data governance processes to identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness of privacy controls.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, compliance, and other departments to integrate privacy and data governance into all aspects of the organization’s operations and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Law.
  • Minimum of 5 years in data privacy, data protection, and information governance within the financial sector.
  • Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in English an Polish language both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of data privacy, data handling and data classification.
  • Demonstrate experience of managing data privacy issues in a global organization.
  • Expertise in global and European data protection laws and practices and an in-depth understanding of the GDPR.
  • Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits.
  • Have the ability to develop awareness and communications at all levels within our global organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex privacy concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in supporting cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of compliance within an organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align privacy and governance strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
