About Pavago:
Pavago is seeking a proactive and visionary Director of Marketing for our esteemed international client. In this role, you'll lead the way in executing comprehensive strategies tailored to B2B sectors such as textiles and manufacturing. Leveraging your expertise in digital marketing, you'll formulate innovative strategies targeting diverse audiences, including designers in residential and commercial firms. As a hands-on leader, you'll have a general know-how of everything digital marketing, autonomously overseeing daily operations, from setting up email funnels to ensuring timely delivery. Operating independently, you'll navigate challenges and drive success, fostering collaboration and alignment with business objectives, all while focusing on growing the brand and finding creative ways to reach the overarching goal.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating and Executing Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies across four B2B textile brands, including the President's personal brand. Oversee marketing efforts for brands selling to manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and designers in residential and commercial firms.
  • Know-How of Digital Marketing: While not necessarily an expert, the Director should possess a solid understanding of digital marketing channels, including email marketing, paid advertising, content creation, and social media management. This knowledge enables effective oversight and strategic direction for digital initiatives within the overall marketing strategy.
  • Email Marketing and Content Planning: Identify opportunities for email marketing and develop targeted funnels and sequences to drive engagement and conversions. Grow social media following through strategic content planning and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Operating Independently and Strategic Decision-Making: Operate independently to execute the overall marketing strategy, including scheduling, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Recommend new hires or outsourcing partners to support marketing efforts and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Self-Starting and Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Showcase a proven track record of scaling B2B brands, preferably within the CPG, fashion, or home goods industries.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Industry Background: Demonstrated proficiency in digital marketing encompassing formulation and execution of marketing strategy across multiple brands, preferably within B2B sectors such as textiles, manufacturing, distribution, and retail. Experience in targeting diverse audiences, including designers in residential and commercial firms, is highly advantageous. Familiarity with email marketing, social media growth strategies, and operational independence is essential.
  • Key Competencies: The ideal candidate possesses critical thinking abilities to devise effective marketing systems and processes. Proficiency in email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, marketing automation tools, and funnel building is crucial. Experience with platforms like Beehiiv for social media planning and integration with tools like Zapier is preferred.
  • Experience Level: Candidates should ideally have 5-10 years of experience in digital marketing roles, preferably at a managerial level, with a track record of success in B2B environments. Autonomous individuals with strategic thinking capabilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Daily Operations Management: Duties include formulating and executing marketing strategies across multiple brands, including the President's personal brand. Responsibilities extend to setting up email marketing funnels, planning content, and growing social media following. The candidate should operate independently to execute the overall strategy, including scheduling, recommending new hires/outsourcing partners, and ensuring timely delivery and performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in email marketing platforms like Klaviyo or alternatives, marketing automation, Zapier/Integromat, and funnel building is essential. Familiarity with tools such as Beehiiv for social media planning and management is preferred. Proficiency in communication and collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, Notion, and Missive/Front is also required for effective team coordination and project management.
