We are seeking a dynamic Principal Engineer - Modern Workplace to join our powerhouse Enterprise Infrastructure team and take charge of revolutionising the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for our Microsoft-based ecosystems and cloud services.

As the creative force behind our technical landscape, you will be responsible for flawlessly translating business requirements into robust technical specifications, while ensuring unwavering adherence to industry-leading practices, standards, and security policies. Collaborating closely with top-notch engineers, visionary architects, and key stakeholders throughout the organization will be at the core of your role. Alongside this, you will have the incredible opportunity to empower and inspire junior engineers through effective mentorship and coaching, and actively contribute to enriching our processes, tools, and methodologies for an even greater future.

Your key responsibilities as a Principal Engineer - Modern Workplace will be to:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure solutions for Microsoft-based ecosystems and cloud services, including Azure AD, Office 365, PowerAutomate, MS Defender, Teams, and more.
• Take on the role of a technical leader, providing guidance and expertise to the Enterprise Infrastructure team and other engineering teams on Microsoft technologies, architectures, and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to thoroughly understand and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices, standards, and security policies when implementing Microsoft solutions and cloud services.
• Thoroughly review, test, debug, and troubleshoot complex issues, providing comprehensive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Act as a mentor and coach to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies, trends, and opportunities for enhancing Microsoft solutions and cloud services through research and evaluation.
• Offer technical support and escalation for Microsoft solutions and cloud services, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.

To join us as a Principal Engineer - Modern Workplace you will need the following experience and skills:

• You should have extensive (ideally 10+ years') experience in designing, delivering, and supporting Microsoft solutions and cloud services, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• You must possess expert knowledge of Microsoft technologies, architectures, and frameworks such as PowerAutomate, PowerShell, Azure AD, Azure Policies, Azure DevOps, etc.
• You should have expert knowledge of Microsoft cloud services, including Azure Landing Zone, Office 365, Azure AD, Office 365, PowerAutomate, MS Defender, Teams, etc., along with their integration, configuration, and management.
• You should be proficient in designing and delivering Azure Enterprise applications like Azure AD, Intune, Defender for Cloud, Power Automate, Graph API, and Endpoints, to streamline business processes and enable low-touch automation.
• You should possess strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices, including security, scalability, reliability, availability, performance, etc.
• Having a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable.
• You must be well-versed in IaC principles and practices, such as agile, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, documentation, etc.
• You should have excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
