Global Client Testing, a division within Client Services, responsible for providing world class service experience to Visa’s Client that includes onboarding, implementation of new services, and service optimization. The Director of Tool Strategy, Global Client Testing is responsible for leading and managing the tool development and enhancement activities across the Global Client Testing organization, ensuring the delivery of innovative and efficient testing tools and solutions to our clients. The Director of Tool Strategy will also oversee the formation and growth of a team of technically focused employees, who will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the testing tools and frameworks. The Director of Tool Strategy will also collaborate with key technology partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of the testing tools and solutions with the global testing vision and objectives.

We are looking for a visionary leader to drive the testing tool strategy and innovation and to develop a high-performing team of technical experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of tool developers and analysts across the Global Client Testing organization, providing guidance, coaching, feedback, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and execute the testing tool strategy and roadmap, aligning with the global testing vision and objectives and the business needs and expectations of the clients.
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the testing tools and frameworks, ensuring quality, scalability, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate with key technology partners, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of the testing tools and solutions with the Visa technology and product platforms and services.
  • Establish and enforce testing tool standards, policies, procedures, and best practices for the Global Client Testing organization, ensuring compliance with the global testing framework and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of testing innovation and transformation initiatives for the Global Client Testing organization, leveraging new technologies, methodologies, and tools.
  • Represent the Global Client Testing organization across internal leadership teams, contributing to the strategic direction and vision of the testing function.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in testing tool development or related field.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing testing tool teams and projects across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong grasp of payment network and processing services. Visa messaging formats and processing are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of testing tool methodologies, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with customer focus in mind.
  • Strong interest in people growth and development to attract and retain top talent.
