What does a day look like for you here?

The Customer Design Authority (CDA) is a strategic & technical role where you will become the trusted advisor on multiple Daisy client accounts. You will maintain that the clients’ infrastructure and systems remain fit for purpose throughout the contract, ensuring they are getting the best value for money from their investment. You will be a Subject Matter Expert in either Cloud (public & private), Unified Communications (public & private) or Network & Security and will be expected to have a high-level understanding of all these technologies. This role requires a good understanding of current and emerging technologies and digital trends, with expert knowledge of multiple technology domains, you will have the ability to translate requirements/strategy into technical design recommendations.

You will also be:

  • Forging relationships with your aligned accounts at senior levels (CIO, Head of IT & IT Management).
  • Meet weekly with senior stakeholders within aligned accounts (virtually or face to face).
  • Working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
  • Understands how the end-to-end technical solution delivers customer value.
  • Defining roadmaps to help inform strategy.
  • Input into Solutions Architecture (Delivery) for proposed projects as part of customer solution roadmap
  • Review and approve technical documents (High/Low Level Designs, Scope of Works etc).
  • Support Pre-Sales with input for solution enhancements.
  • Work with Daisy Operational teams to understand your customer's issues and assist as an escalation point.
  • Construct & deliver internal and external reports and documentation.
  • Identify growth opportunities within assigned accounts and/or assist Account Managers with their expansion efforts.
  • Identify possible issues inside of accounts and react in a proactive manner.
  • Ensure the managed solution remains relevant to the customer throughout their lifecycle.
  • Review End of Support/Sale matters and make recommendations to Account Management and the customer.
  • Review Capacity reports and make recommendations to Account Management and the customer, where required.

So, what are we looking for?

Back to that ambition of ours. We want to be the UK’s go-to managed service provider. That’s where you come in. Ideally, you will be a seasoned technologist, who has significant experience in either Cloud, Unified Communications or Network & Security (this will depend on the SME we placing). Ideally this experience will have been gained through working in both operational and delivery teams.

You should also have:

  • Operated previously at technical architecture level, where you have designed and implemented IT infrastructures.
  • Advised and guided senior stakeholders in helping them to make the right decisions around enterprise level IT investment, from a technical and commercial perspective.
  • Experience to independently engage, present and communicate at C-Level
  • Experience to work your way through the value chain to reach key decision makers.
  • Experience to turn business requirements into architectural building blocks.
  • Experience of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and design principles.
  • Experience in a Technical Design role servicing enterprise IT accounts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with great listening skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Understanding of data centre infrastructure technology/Unified Communications, and the ability to effectively articulate strategies.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in either Cloud, Unified Communications or Network & Security with the willingness to expand knowledge in other disciplines.
  • A solid understanding of Managed Services along with a board skillset in the following areas: High/Low Level Designs, Stakeholder Management, Public / Private Cloud (essential)
  • Microsoft Azure / M365 (Strategy and Design)
  • VMWare / Multi-tenant hosting with Windows & Linux OS
  • Networking & Security (essential)
