$115k-135k with annual bonusThe Foodservice Development Director (FDD) is responsible for the strategy, development and sales of non-commercial foodservice operations for Minor Figures. In this role, you’ll focus on multi-year sustainable partnerships and contracts that build a new channel for Minor Figures. The primary focus is on B&I and C&U, unlocking contracts and then growing with foodservice contract management groups and group purchasing organizations throughout the US.

  • Build and implement strategic business development and sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in non-commercial foodservice
  • Leverage your existing relationships and experience to negotiate contracts and placements that unlock new sales opportunities
  • Manage the end-to-end selling process for targeted accounts, from culinary to business development
  • Work closely with US and Global Finance, and North American GM, to develop profitable channel sales
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, innovation, revenue management and operations to align sales efforts with overall business objectives
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and prepare/share regular reports to evaluate progress and make informed decisions
  • Develop detailed SKU and region-level forecasts, accounting for product launches, sales trends, seasonality, etc.
  • Optimize all channel contracts and customer investments
  • Partner with the On-Premise team to optimize broadliner distribution agreements and secure open-code status in all distribution centers
  • Over time, educate and enable the On-Premise sales team to secure new opportunities once MF is on contract
  • Collaborate deeply with the Grocery and Cafe Sales Directors on new channel strategy and prospects
  • Champion the channel internally, advising MF on opportunities, needs and resources

Although the entire team is remote we are a very close knit bunch. We might be a small team but we truly believe in our product and know how to speak the language of coffee. We like to build lasting relationships within our team as well as with our customers.

This role reports to the General Manager of North America, and collaborates deeply with the other sales channel leads and sales teams.

We want people to come into Minor Figures to be a true version of themselves every day. Every day. We want people that embrace every day being different. People that can bring the energy, support their teammates when the times get hard, but not hold off from asking for support themselves.

We hire humans, not machines, so let’s look at the key skills that we love to see. People that:

  • Live and breathe their authenticity and individuality in everything that they do.
  • Take pride in what they do, and inspire others to do the same.
  • Have a sense of fun and adventure, along with a hands on & a can-do approach.
  • Not be phased by constant change and challenges and willing to adapt and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate like crazy & have a willingness to help in all areas of the business when needed.
  • Approach every day like it’s day one. Committed, open minded and ready to enjoy every exhilarating second.

For this role you will have a strong strategic mindset, hunting and farming aspirations, perseverance, and “been there done that” experience for this channel. Your dream role is working collaboratively, yet autonomously, in a fast growing environment, where you know the rules but are willing to break them.

Key Skills:

  • Channel development experience – relationships and proven success with foodservice management groups and GPOs, spanning multiple years, preferably with coffee-adjacent items.
  • Current relationships and working knowledge of Compass and Sodexo (Tradecraft, Canteen, Bon Appetit, The Good Eating Company), FoodBuy and Premier.
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen - ability to set a clear direction and build plans that drive MF towards our goals.
  • Proactive and enterprising - capable, energized and self-motivated to build a channel from the ground up.
  • Insights driven - able to collate and analyze multiple sources of data to shape strategy and deliver powerful results.
  • Willingness to do it all: while this role collaborates deeply with other sales channel teams, this role will own end-to-end sales for the foodservice channel.
  • Adaptable to changes - able to see the big picture but with a pragmatic and flexible approach to delivery.
  • Open and collaborative nature, developing and nurturing key internal and external partnerships.
  • Multiple years of progressive experience in non-commercial foodservice.
