Battery System Engineer

To keep pace with the rate of electrification and renewable energy expansion we need to be installing 10 MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) every other week until 2030. Multiply that figure by 10 when considering wider Europe.

At Stella Futura, we aim to address these challenges and ensure Sweden's energy supply for the future. We achieve this by designing, owning, and operating BESS facilities across Sweden and the Nordics. Rooted in engineering expertise, focusing on financial innovation and flexible commercial solutions, we pioneer new modern energy infrastructure across the country.

About the Role:

• Conduct dimensioning and analysis of commercial and industrial energy systems to optimise battery performance.
• Liaise with various teams in establishing customer, use case and business case profiles.
• Support market and product intelligence activities.
• Manage technical documentation, specifications, submissions, and handovers in line with established protocols.
• Develop system designs including subsystems and key components to meet client requirements.
• Manage, improve and expand on processes around system standardisation and development streamlining.
• Explore various new technical solutions in battery and inverter technologies.
• Work with data management systems and analysis of system performance.

Who We're Seeking:

• Relevant education in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, power systems engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in battery technology, energy storage, or a related field.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and battery installations and a solid grasp of our industry.
• Deep technical understanding and keen interest in energy issues and energy system modelling.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Python, MATLAB, or proficiency in other system design and development tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is of merit.
