Test Engineer

To keep pace with the rate of electrification and renewable energy expansion we need to be installing 10 MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) every other week until 2030. Multiply that figure by 10 when considering wider Europe.

At Stella Futura, we aim to address these challenges and ensure Sweden's energy supply for the future. We achieve this by designing, owning, and operating BESS facilities across Sweden and the Nordics. Rooted in engineering expertise, focusing on financial innovation and flexible commercial solutions, we pioneer new modern energy infrastructure across the country.

About the Role:

• Conduct electrical, thermal, and mechanical tests on BESS components and systems.
• Develop detailed testing plans, procedures, and protocols for product features and safety measures.
• Analyse specifications and technical data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
• Prepare detailed test reports and present test results to stakeholders, summarising findings and providing recommendations for improvements.
• Provide expert guidance to project and installation teams based on testing outcomes and active contribution to troubleshooting activities.
• Identify potential areas of improvement and innovation in battery systems and inverter technologies.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of test facilities, ensuring they are well-equipped, well-maintained and organised.
• Manage and maintain meticulous technical documentation, test reports, schedules and compliance records in accordance with established protocols.

Who We're Seeking:

• Relevant education in electrical, electronic or power engineering, or a related field with a focus on energy systems.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in engineering within battery technology, energy systems, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in testing methodologies, including test plan development, test execution, and results analysis.
• Deep technical understanding and a keen interest in energy issues, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in evaluation tools, software and programming languages, such as CAD, MATLAB Simulink, R and Python.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Proficiency in Swedish is of merit.
