**What can you expect in an Employment and Litigation Counsel role with TaskUs:

As an Employment and Litigation Counsel you will continue shaping the future of the Legal Department at TaskUs. We are looking for a hands-on attorney to add value to our growing team. The role will report to the Senior Director - Employment and Litigation Counsel . The Employment and Litigation Counsel l will provide broad-based legal counsel support to the Company throughout our growing organization, all in a manner that displays legal excellence, attention to detail, and a proactive and practical approach. This role l will support the different departments of the organization on a variety of day-to-day legal matters that relate to employment and labor issues. The candidate must also have experience and an understanding of how to manage local counsel. This is a great opportunity to become a valued contributor to an established professional and growing team. The position is ideal for an attorney who seeks a diverse set of challenges and enjoys the opportunity to regularly develop new skills and legal/business knowledge while enjoying the support of an amazing team.

**Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical legal advice and counseling on a broad spectrum of employment issues, including recruiting practices, employee relations, labor organizing, performance management, terminations and severance, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour, internal investigations, compensation and contingent workers.
  • Draft, review and update employment contracts, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Oversee employment claims and litigation matters, with a focus on Latin America.
  • Evaluate employment practices and policies at a growing organization.
  • Handle employment-related disputes.
  • Support compliance efforts.
  • Support and advise on the employment law implications of expansion into new markets.
  • Source and manage outside counsel on labor and employment matters, including ensuring adherence to Company guidelines and budget.
  • Help develop and conduct training for employees and the People Team.
  • Evaluate risk, provide advice, and help key business partners to develop strategy on Company initiatives and policies affecting employees
  • Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to employment issues and provide proactive, strategic advice to the relevant stakeholders as necessary.
  • Provide legal support globally as needed.
  • Deal with a diverse range of complex matters with limited timeframes.
  • Other tasks/responsibilities that may be delegated from time to time.

**Requirements:

  • Bar admission or equivalent and in good standing to practice law in your relevant jurisdiction.
  • Experience working on complex employment law matters in Spanish-speaking LATAM countries, with Mexico and Colombia experience required, and global familiarity a plus.

2-5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney specializing in employment matters, preferably with a major law-firm or in-house.

  • Familiarity with BPO settings and experience with hyper-growth companies is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written command of Spanish and English.
  • Strong work ethic, impeccable organization and a creative problem solver.
