Cloud and Server Admin Instructor

SAIT is seeking an instructor for NETT 275: Cloud and Server Admin. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and teaching skills related to:

· Microsoft Windows server

· File and folder permissions

· Management of hard disks and volumes

· Active directory (AD) services

· Domain name systems (DNS)

· Management of users, groups, computer accounts and home directories

· Dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) on Windows service and clients

· Windows domain group policy

· Computer image deployment strategies

· Cloud computing

The Role

• Create a positive learning environment.
• Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS)
• Ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Prepare lessons plans to ensure classroom success.
• Provide support, guidance, and advice to students.
• Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.
• Respond to student requests in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings as needed between 8am and 6pm

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in information technology
• Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Relevant certification

Job Classification: INSTRUCTOR - S4001

Hourly Range: $35.99 - $45.55
