The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join GSCF who will work hybrid. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing clean and transformed data ready for analysis to Business Intelligence teams. Your expertise in data transformations, data integrity, and modern data governance practices will support the company’s agile, data-driven decision-making process.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Data Transformation and Integration:
  • Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis to Business Intelligence teams.
  • Create data transformations using SQL and ideally Python. Experience with tools like dbt and Airflow is beneficial.
• Data Integrity and Lifecycle Management:
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Apply software engineering best practices, including version control systems and data/code testing.
• Cloud-Based Data Solutions:
  • Work extensively with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions like Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift.
  • Experience with other cloud-native data solutions and AWS is a plus.
• Data Governance:
  • Create and maintain data documentation and data quality checks.
  • Advocate for data governance best practices within the company. Experience with modern data governance solutions like Atlan, Alation, and Amundsen is beneficial.
• Data Visualization and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide timely, accurate insights in collaboration with Business Analysts.

What You Bring to the Team

• Familiarity with the concept of the Modern Data Stack and its importance in an agile, data-driven organization.

• Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data transformations.

• Experience with tools like dbt and Airflow for data processing and orchestration.

• Proven experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Redshift.

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control and data/code testing.

• Experience with data documentation, data quality checks, and data governance best practices.

• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
