Sr. Software Engineer I

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer I to become an integral part of our team. You will be responsible for creating and modifying custom E 9-1-1 application software used in the delivery of emergency calls for Enterprises/Businesses and Service Providers, in multiple hosted environments. Candidates that have back-end java programming experience and familiarity with SIP and/or microservices will be

the best suited for this role.

What you'll do:

• Design and coding of java-based microservices and APIs
• Work with Project Management and other developers to understand design requirements and provide estimates for development
• Collaborate with other developers as part of a passionate, agile development team to deliver software that operates within a highly scalable distributed multi-tiered environment
• Use Agile and DevOps practices to ensure efficient CI/CD delivery and operational resilience
• Partner with QA to deliver high quality and available software
• Stay current with the latest software engineering best practices and share, mentor, and lead continuous improvement
• Take ownership of problems and driving themselves and others to define and implement solutions
• Participate and promote development best practices (including code reviews, quality practices, Everbridge and industry standards)

What you'll bring:

• At least 3+ years of experience with Java, Spring/Sprint Boot, Concurrency, Web Services (REST or SOAP), Microservices, bash scripting, Linux
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational DB technology preferred
• Studies/Experience with TCP/IP, network, SIP, and telephony/PBX programming, strongly preferred
• Experience developing highly available, clustered solutions, preferable
• Knowledge of React, or comparable frontend technologies, a plus
• Working knowledge of web application networking and web front-end technologies
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Jenkins, preferred
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work with a team to deliver a complex feature solution

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $94,000 - $108,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
