Our customer is an Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure company, developing their next generation of AC and DC vehicle charging solutions. Together we’re on a mission to create a more reliable and emission-free mobility infrastructure. The AC wallbox and DC fast-charging product portfolio you will be supporting include legacy and next generation solutions covering multiple market segments, including residential, public, and industrial.

As a result, we are looking for LAB Manager to join our team. Your roles and responsibilities will include managing the LAB for vehicle chargers while providing expertise in the field of end to end LAB management including stakeholders management, overall project management and software/hardware procurement.

Your responsibilities may include but will not be limited to:

  • Planning and managing the LAB end to end.
  • Control and clamp the processes around the LAB operation.
  • Participate and contribute in chargers’ efficiency development activities
  • Perform at an advanced technical level and demonstrate a complete understanding of all stages of the LAB operations, foreseen issues.
  • Perform risk management.

Due to nature of the role remote work is not allowed.

Requirements

Specialist knowledge and technical skills required:

Project Management:

  • Project Planning and Control: Ability to create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Risk Management: Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.

Test Management:

  • Test Planning: Development and management of detailed test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
  • Test Execution and Monitoring: Coordination and supervision of test execution, including team and resource management.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementation and oversight of quality standards and processes to ensure the reliability and accuracy of test results.

Technical Expertise:

  • High-Voltage Charging Systems: In-depth knowledge of high-voltage charging technologies and systems.
  • Measurement and Testing Techniques: Familiarity with high-voltage measurement and testing methods, tools, and equipment.
  • Safety Regulations: Comprehensive understanding of relevant safety standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISO, VDE).

Practical Experience

  • Lab Setup and Operation:
  • Infrastructure Planning: Planning and setup of the physical and technical infrastructure for a test lab.
  • Equipment Procurement: Selection and acquisition of necessary test and measurement equipment.
  • Operational Management: Efficient and safe management of lab operations.
  • Test Execution Phase
  • Asset Management: Provision and management of necessary test assets and resources.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Detailed documentation of test results and creation of reports for stakeholders.

Safety and Regulatory Compliance

  • Workplace Safety:
  • Hazard Assessment: Conducting and documenting hazard assessments.
  • Safety Protocols: Implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Emergency Management: Planning and conducting emergency drills and first aid measures.

Soft Skills

  • Leadership and Team Management:
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skills in resolving conflicts and problems within the team.

Organizational Skills:

  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Time Management: Efficient management of personal and team time.

Education and Certifications

Certifications:

  • Project Management: Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar.
  • Quality Management: Knowledge and certifications in quality assurance systems such as ISO 9001.
  • Safety Management: Certifications in workplace safety and health, such as OSHA or similar.

IT Skills

Software Tools:

  • Test Management Software: Experience with test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Data Analysis: Skills in analyzing and interpreting test data.
  • IT Networks: Basic knowledge of network technologies and their application in test environments.

Interpersonal Skills

Stakeholder Management:

  • Client Interaction: Ability to effectively communicate with clients and understand their requirements.
  • Vendor Relations: Managing relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers.

Problem-Solving:

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimizing test processes.
  • Innovation: Ability to innovate and improve test procedures and methodologies.
