ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a renowned player in the wine industry, known for our commitment to quality and our diverse portfolio of wines sourced from the world's most prestigious vineyards is seeking for a Junior Category Manager.
📌 Location: Athens, Greece
🖋️ Reporting: Sales Manager
Key Objective: The Junior Category Manager will assist in managing product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to drive category growth and profitability.
💼 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed market and category analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Assist in developing and managing the product assortment, ensuring it meets customer needs and market demands
- Support the implementation of effective pricing strategies to optimize sales and profitability
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms, ensure product availability, and maintain strong relationships
- Provide support to the sales team with category insights, product information, and promotional materials
- Monitor and analyze category performance, generating reports and providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
- Optimize in-store displays and increase the visibility of the category
- Conduct market visits to directly understand the needs of customers and consumers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in category management or a related role, preferably in the wine or beverage industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with category management software is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Desirable knowledge of French
