Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of Octopus Energy, Volvo Benelux, VW UK, Mercedes UK, Hyundai UK and other innovative brands.

Your role

We are seeking a seasoned Head of HR who will have responsibility for the following functions:

  • Human Resources
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Learning & Development - build a new function
  • Performance Management
  • Business partnering - work closely with the leadership team on HR strategy; succession planning etc

We a looking for a proven senior HR leader to join us and help deliver strategic HR practices that maximise operational excellence. You will be accountable for ensuring that Ohme’s HR strategies, tools, frameworks and processes are aligned with business objectives in a high-performance culture.

Requirements

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with senior members of the Ohme management team to deliver first-class HR practices, processes and systems
  • Develop, plan and create a comprehensive HR strategy in alignment with organisational goals
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, hiring managers and other key stakeholders
  • Advise and support the management team on all employee issues
  • Ensure that HR initiatives align with budgetary and performance goals
  • Partner with the Ohme Talent team to create a joined-up HR and Talent function
  • Partner with the Strategy & Development team as regards any HR-related initiatives
  • Provide mentoring and build capabilities within your growing HR team
  • Effectively embed innovative operational HR practices and processes across Ohme's global offices
  • Ensure compliance with all regional employee law requirements across the operational jurisdictions through your own expertise allied with effective liaison with external advisors
  • Create / review relevant employee-related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations across Ohme’s global jurisdictions
  • Work with management team to make recommendations on remuneration of employees including annual salary review and bonus awards
  • Coordinate performance appraisals, KPIs and employee development
  • Implement training programs to support current and future managers in leadership skills
  • Create a consistent, high-quality onboarding process for new starters in each business unit
  • Manage any employee offboarding processes in partnership with senior managers
  • Manage employees’ relationships e.g. grievance and disciplinary processes
  • Develop creative and compelling internal and external HR-related communications
  • Manage an employee benefits program to ensure that Ohme’s benefits are competitive
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Harness data and analytics to provide insight
  • Help to drive employee engagement and to ensure our staff feel valued, included and rewarded

What you'll need

  • 10+ years direct experience of People / HR at managerial level
  • Relevant HR-related qualifications
  • Experience working in fast-moving, high-growth entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong and effective interpersonal skills; excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • Excellent commercial acumen – ability to align HR strategies with business objectives
  • Strong employment law knowledge; staying up-to-date with new employee legislation
  • Knowledge of European legislation is highly beneficial
  • Experience in designing and implementing a range of HR operational projects and frameworks
  • Project management and change management experience
  • Experience in learning how to harness HR technology to achieve operational efficiencies and excellence
  • Ability to provide strategic advice and guidance to our people managers
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and empathy
