Working in IFS Industries team, in conjunction with the Aerospace and Defense Industry Vice President, you will be regarded as the global Aerospace & Defense Industry “thought leader” across the rapidly growing IFS A&D Market Segments with a particular emphasis on defense manufacturing.
Specific activities include;
- Planning, directing & coordinating IFS activities in relation to the A&D industry
- Assimilating & translating market trends, understanding emergent A&D industry requirements coming from analysts, competitors and/or customers
- Leading and managing one or more of the IFS A&D Customer Advisory Boards
- Demonstrating continuous, focused evangelism of IFS and the IFS Cloud product via public speaking, presenting at industry events, and social media engagement
- Directly supporting sales in bidding and closing priority deals with net new customers and upgrades for existing customers
- Creating and maintaining industry specific sales enablement tools such as Industry Roadmaps, Statements of Direction, Industry Overviews and learning materials for IFS Academy
- Engaging with clients to understand their requirements & scope, discovering & defining solutions, explaining business benefits/value & use cases & a roadmap to meet their goals
- Creating and maintaining the Industry Value Proposition with Product Marketing
- Directly supporting A&D Marketing campaigns and projects as the Industry SME, including message and collateral creation and the delivery of that messaging.
- Supporting R&D’s 7 Stage Development Process by providing Voice of the Customer and other Industry requirements to Product Management and developing the positioning and value messaging for selected investment proposals
- Defining industry-specific solution sets, system integration points, data migration requirements, and cybersecurity and other regulations and standards
- Actively contributing to cross-functional Product Offering Support Teams in support of annual GTM activities with Presales, R&D, and Marketing
- Management of A&D industry support to the BVA (Business Value Assessment) team in executing business value activities & associated value packet creation
Requirements
- Thought leader and significant work experience in the IFS A&D Industry, specifically understanding the unique operational requirements of Defense Forces
- Understanding of the unique Gen AI requirements of defense organizations particularly those interacting with the US DoD
- B2B SaaS experience and time in the Armed Forces are a plus.
- A degree and/or recognized professional qualification in the industry
- Attention to detail and high quality standards
- Demonstrable ability to show how IT solution architecture affects business value
- Ability to link Industry processes to the Product and its underlying technology
- Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Tenacious, with a passion to get the job done
