As Operations Manager you are responsible for the optimal functioning of the departments, Internal Logistics, 2D/3D, Assembly 1&2, External Logistics, Presto, QC, Incoming Goods, Presto Lab, TED and Process Improvement. Highly qualified disposables for the medical, pharmaceutical and bioprocessing industry are produced and assembled in the production area (cleanroom). You coach and guide your direct reports so that they can function optimally. You are ultimately responsible for complying with and achieving the set goals on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP). You develop improvement processes for optimizing processes. In addition, you identify quality, logistical and technical deviations and ensure that these are resolved by providing the correct management. You are also responsible in the Management Team in the operational field (MT-OPS) and you are part of the Management Team.
Managing and hierarchically directing the Operations department and ensuring the achievement of the set production goals (SQDIP), as well as developing and executing strategic policy for the entire Operations department.
POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION:
Reports directly to the Site Leader and directs hierarchical leadership to ~6 Value Stream Leaders and indirectly to ~400 employees.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Developing and steering on policy

Responsible for the implementation of strategic pillars, and the consequences thereof for the Value Streams and other departments within Operations.

Collects and analyzes data at a strategic level and is responsible for policy development.

Establishing the organizational policy through his position as Operations MT responsible. Also ensures the translation of the established organizational policy into an annual plan for the Value Streams and other departments within Operations and is responsible for the budget.

Provides input for the organizational policy and monitors the implementation, implementation and periodic evaluation of this policy and reports periodically on progress.

Drafts guidelines, processes, procedures and critical documents.

Ensures coordination between the relevant Value Streams, staff departments and identifies bottlenecks.

Leads and participates in projects.

Keeps abreast of developments in the market and the field and determines their influence on the organization.
Process optimization
Initiates, prioritizes and ensures the development of improvement proposals.
Creates support within the organization for improvement proposals and organizes decision-
making.
Coordinates with other departments (including Quality Assurance, Technical Service,
Product Engineering, HR and Finance) about process and product improvements.
Advises the organization on possible improvements and acts as a source of information and
expert.
Leads or participates in improvement projects, draws up project plans and manages the
realization.
Managing team
Set up a team with the associated processes, procedures and working methods. Translates the formulated policy into objectives and distributes it within the team.
Is responsible for the correct implementation of the personnel policy. Coaches and guides
the employees within the team, takes care of absenteeism, their development and conducts assessment interviews.
Coaches and guides the Value Stream Leaders.
