The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Team Leader who will provide support and guidance for direct reports, which includes assessment and referral, education and support, delivering a comprehensive client focused service. Develop and maintain residential treatment options. Help develop and coach direct reports to be a high-performing team. Project manage the residential AOD services, including building networks and partnerships as required. All activities support the achievement of the Mission of The Salvation Army.

You will successfully

  • Implement the service delivery processes and tools
  • Quality service delivery meets the needs of client groups; for example, participant access, intake & assessment and admissions management/service delivery planning, and progress and outcomes for clients
  • Effective rostering and work allocation
  • Provide clinical expertise to workers to resolve complex case management issues
  • Monitoring service performance targets and collaboratively identifying strategies to address issues with Centre Manager

You will have

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • Relevant experience in supervising staff
  • Relevant state Working with Children Check is required
  • Drivers Licence

This is a full-time, permanent position located in Mt. Isa, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Level 6 Award.
