As part of a highly talented software development team, you will contribute at towards the design and development of Navico’s high end marine electronics products.

You’ll be responsible for developing automation test script using our industry leading platform to boost the develop and test efficiency for for high end embedded platforms. You will play an essential part in the overall quality process to ensure the system level test covers the quality standards.

As a team member within the global SW team, you will also contribute towards and drive improvements to our development processes and software architectures and you’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of modules within the Navico Software stack with oversight from Senior developers within the team.

You will be part of our vision to lead marine electronics with outstanding solutions for performance, safety and enjoyment on the water. Make no mistake this is a super cool domain with passionate people and customers looking for the next cool thing.

Responsibilities

Technical:

  • Follow the integration test strategy, generating test list and test cases.
  • Design and develop test script for integration test.
  • Monitoring and do first level triage for the test results generated from test pipelines.
  • Work closely with the tools team, devops team, software tester, software developer and system tester to ensure the over all test process in a good flow.
  • Own parts of quality for Navico’s software stack and provide input into new feature development and sustaining activities in these areas.

Non-Technical:

  • Provide mentoring and or coaching to staff as required.
  • Contribute towards the continuous improvement of Navico’s software development processes and tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience system test experience for embedded system or mobile device, prefer Android based.
  • 3+ years of test script development using tools like Cucumber, Appium, Python and etc.
  • Familiar with various software engineering tools: Jenkins, git, bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Testrail, report portal …
  • Familiar with various operation systems: Windows, Linux, Android
  • Familiar with Android system development tools: adb, fastboot and etc.
  • Understanding various commercial/industrial communication protocols and interfaces: Ethernet, CAN bus, Serial, USB, HDMI and etc.
  • Comfortable and hands-on experience in dealing with hardware/system, ethernet, Wifi, Bluetooth, CAN bus and etc, able to build test environment independently.
