We are now looking for an Integrations Architect​ to join our team.

Your role and goals

As an Integrations Architect, you are guiding the integration creation process from start to finish. Your role centers around understanding business requirements and designing integration solutions that completes the customer’s needs. This includes gathering specifications from all involved systems, timetable planning, creating mapping documents and coordinating between technical and business roles. You work closely with integration developers and the delivery team, coordinate testing and managing possible scope changes. Your role is an essential part of development of services in a more and more digitalized environment.

In this role:

  • You are responsible for designing and upholding a comprehensive overall strategy for integrating various applications and data sources for Aalto’s IT landscape.
  • Makes sure security measures and governance policies to protect sensitive data are implemented within the IT integration landscape.
  • You work very closely with Salesforce development team to create integration solutions supporting Aalto’s salesforce environments.
  • You specify integrations between internal and external parties using API, Web Service, file and database technologies amongst others.
  • You design new and implement changes to existing integrations using standardized patterns and a dedicated development platform (FRENDS).

In this role your work will have a true impact on Aalto students, researchers, and teachers by enabling the smooth and reliable data flow to Aalto University core systems. Your experience and ambitions

In order to succeed and enjoy working in this position, we hope that you have:

  • Experience in understanding integration requirements and translating them into functional design specifications and user stories.
  • Ability to share work with others and help them implement solutions based on your designs.
  • Skills for working hands-on with Salesforce and/or integration platforms. Experience with FRENDS integration platform is an advantage.
  • Integration development experience is an advantage, especially using FRENDS integration platform or in the following technologies: REST API, JSON/XML, ETL-based data transfers, SQL and XSLT, SOAP WS, C#/.NET and FRENDS.
  • You have perseverance, systematicity and the ability to take responsibility even on busy schedules.
  • Your working style is active, you have good social and cooperation skills, and you are able to communicate and collaborate with both technical and business-minded co-workers and partners.
  • Our working languages are English and Finnish, so we hope that you can communicate well in both English and Finnish
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in an IT field or similar.
  • You are willing to work in a hybrid mode and able to attend regular weekly meetings on site in the Otaniemi campus. On-site training is provided in the beginning.
