Business Analyst

The Role

As a business analyst in the Release on Demand (RoD) platform team you will be a key player in analysing requirements and assistance in making decisions that will align with the direction and evolution of the product.

Your planning, evaluation and decision making will be a key input into the development team and ultimately delivery process which will benefit the tens of thousands of technology users driving productivity gains and improved controls.

A hands-on background in modern Agile based software delivery is essential but inclusivity at Citi means your primary responsibility is to the team: supporting a diverse team, collaborating to continuously improve the overall team output whilst enjoying doing it. You will be expected to positively influence our culture and collaborate with the team on strategy and technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering and analysis.
• Work closely with the wide range of users and stakeholders to gather, understand, and document business requirements.
• Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to elicit requirements.
• Analyse and prioritize requirements to align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Understand how the development team best receive their work items ready for development and collaborate with them to design technical solutions that meet business needs.
• Create functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Assist in the design of user interfaces and user experience (UI/UX).
• Support the project manager and project owner when required to participate in or lead project planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and priorities as well as backlog grooming and delivery readiness preparation
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team.
• Ensure clear and consistent communication of project status, issues, and changes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and execute testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Identify and document defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
• Ensure that deliverables meet the quality standards and business needs.

Skills & Experience**:**

• Proven track record of working with a delivery focussed agile team
• Superbly knowledgeable Agile practitioner, with real-world experience and a highly disciplined approach
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles
• Demonstrate expertise of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
• Collaborative by nature, builds partnerships across the firm
• Cheerful with a proactive can-do attitude ideally with an enthusiasm for technology
• Excellent communicator who gets on well with others, building strong professional relationships
• Creative and innovative, brings different angles to problems and provides new solutions
• An advocate of inclusion and diversity in every way
