RF Test Engineer

• Collaborate with the RF Power Generator design team to commission, implement, debug, and continuously improve electrical test fixtures, processes, and procedures in XP Power’s Asia manufacturing facilities to efficiently and repeatably produce high quality RF products
• Utilize and enhance data systems to monitor and improve first pass yield using structured problem-solving techniques to identify root cause of failures and resolve reoccurring process complications
• Analyze manufacturing data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
• Provide frequent feedback, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements back to the RF Power Generator Design Team.
• Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and create a comprehensive database of defects and successful mitigation techniques.
• Troubleshoot and debug high frequency power amplifiers in the 100kHz to 60MHz frequency range and power levels from 100W to 10KW.
• Support all test execution, review, and feedback for new product introductions, existing product transfers, and production testing.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and guide repair of high power and RF Power Generator electronics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, master’s degree preferred
• Exposure to complex system integration and troubleshooting of RF Generator circuits with associated metrology (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, etc.)
• Knowledge on the design, assembly and test program generation of an automated test equipment for RF Power Generators.
• Knowledge on different power supply test methodologies.
• Knowledge on test setup troubleshooting techniques, maintenance and qualification.
• Knowledge on data analysis techniques needed during test setup troubleshooting.
• Comprehensive understanding of
