Reports to:

Director, Group Financial Control

We are seeking a candidate with a robust background in various financial control and tax disciplines for the role of FC and Tax Specialist.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end closing activities and group consolidation, including bank reconciliations, transfer pricing schedules, prepayments, accruals;
• Prepare financial and regulatory reporting schedules, to ensure it is of satisfactory quality and in accordance with the applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS and USGAAP), tax and other regulators;
• Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements with disclosure footnotes;
• Ensure internal controls over financial reporting are established and adhered to, identify opportunities for improvements;
• Closely monitor monthly cash flow movements and advise the Financial Controller of any need for intercompany funding or cash replenishment;
• Various tax matters including transfer pricing operational support, indirect tax compliance and tax operational information reporting;
• Oversee and ensure the organization’s compliance with regulations and requirements related to Customer Information Reporting (such as FATCA, CRS, CARF);
• Assist Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller on an ad-hoc work and projects

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of work experience including tax, preferably in regulated industry and exposure to regulatory reporting
• Strong understanding of corporate tax, tax accounting, indirect tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and customer information reporting.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation techniques, with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
• Strong interest in fintech, blockchain, digital businesses, decentralization
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACCA/CPA designation is desirable.
• Strong proficiency in MS office applications; experience with Workday is preferred
